Забавная песня и воспоминания о том, с чего начинались «Новые Направления» развеселили ребят. Уилл говорит, что пришло время прощаться, и ребятам необходимо сказать это друг другу с помощью песен. Мистер Шу исполняет «Forever Young», чтобы попрощаться с выпускниками. <br /> Берт зовет сына в зал, чтобы сделать ему подарок в честь выпуска из школы. Парень сообщает, что его девушка получила контракт со звукозаписывающей студией, она переезжает в Голливуд и к Рождеству станет суперзвездой. Мерседес говорит, что Сэм все преувеличивает, на данный момент один музыкальный продюсер в Лос-Анджелесе хочет сделать запись, попробовать девушку в качестве бэк-вокалистки на инди-лэйбле. В офисе мистера Шустера Финн забирает свой ежегодник, но выражает недовольство по поводу сухости фразы, он надеялся на более эмоциональные строки. Уилл признается, что пытался, но не смог, зато мужчина признается, каким способом заставил вступить Финна в Хор. Хадсон признает, что мистер Шу намного круче, чем кажется, в душе он благодарен за такой поступок. <br /> Дома Финн рассматривает фото отца и говорит с матерью о его подвигах. Женщина признается, что всегда думала, что Квинн очень похожа на юную мисс Сильвестр, но ошибалась, Квинн намного лучше. Сью говорит, что восхищается Квинн и будет с удовольствием наблюдать за ее судьбой. Фабрей обнимает тренера и говорит, что будет скучать по ней. <br /> Ребята-выпускники из Хора ждут вместе с Паком результатов его теста около кабинета. Миссис Дьюсенберри выносит результат. Пак получил тройку с минусом. Все ребята радуются, что Пак тоже выпускается вместе с ними. <br /> Пак и Финн исполняют «Glory Days» в то время, как выпускники получают дипломы на сцене школы МакКинли. <br /> В хоровой комнате Курт, Финн и Рэйчел приготовились прочитать письма. Финн открывает конверт первым. Хадсон не поступил. Курт обнаруживает, что тоже не был принят. В письме Рэйчел положительный ответ. <br /> Рэйчел признается сама себе, что она счастлива, ее мечты сбываются. Она – королева Выпускного Бала, выходящая замуж за квотербэка, чемпион Национальных соревнований Хоров, скоро ее ждет НЙАДИ и Бродвей. Но девушке грустно от того, что она не может заставить Финна ехать с ней в Нью-Йорк, это будет вечным напоминанием отказа, да и без друга Курта ее мечта не станет полной. Рэйчел решает отложить свое поступление в НЙАДИ на год, что бы поехать вместе с близкими людьми. <br /> Миссис Лопез делает подарок своей дочери – конверт с крупной суммой для поступления в тот колледж, в который мечтает Сантана. Девушка отказывается, но мама настаивает, говоря, что верит в дочь и в ее талант, она поддерживает первое взрослое решение Сантаны. <br /> Финн везет Рэйчел на вокзал. Он сообщает, что все готово – билет на руках, папы встретят ее в Нью-Йорке, чемодан собран. Девушка не хочет ехать, но Финн не позволит ей пропустить год. Он говорит ей, что он не собирается жениться на ней, если она отказывается от своей мечты. Финн признается, что любит ее, но Рэйчел должна начать свое обучение, начинать осваиваться в Нью-Йорке. Девушка отказывается, говоря, что поедет за ним куда угодно. Парень признается, что идет в армию, он поедет в Форт Беннинг в штате Джорджия, чтобы попробовать восстановить доброе имя своего отца. Рэйчел начинает плакать. Финн говорит, что она должна сесть в поезд, отправиться в Нью-Йорк и стать звездой, без него, потому что он очень сильно любит девушку, и если им суждено быть вместе, так и будет, но позже. <br /> Рэйчел начинает исполнять «Roots Before Branches». Финн и Рэйчел поднимаются на платформу, с девушкой пришли попрощаться друзья, пожелать удачи. Финн бежит за поездом, прощаясь с любимой.
