TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30 THE COMPETITION HEATS UP ON AN ALL-NEW “GLEE” John Stamos Guest-Stars
New Directions heads to the big Sectionals competition to go head-to-head against the Warblers and the Hipsters. While trouble brews between some of the young couples, Emma and Carl (guest star Stamos) grow closer in the all-new “Special Education” episode of GLEE airing Tuesday, Nov. 30 (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GLE-209) (TV-14 D, L, S)

'Glee' exclusive: The cast will perform Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' for the Superbowl episode -- and that's not all
Gleeks, you probably thought Gwyneth Paltrow doing Cee-Lo was big news. Well, you’re gonna get down on your knees and thank Grilled Cheesus for this latest bit of news I’ve got: A Glee source confirms to EW exclusively that Glee will be tackling Michael Jackson’s iconic “Thriller” for their post-Super Bowl episode…but with a twist. The Jackson classic will be performed as a mash-up with another song, yet to be chosen. But the supersized episode, which our source says will be the most expensive in Glee history and likely one of televsion’s priciest episodes ever, will also feature covers of tunes by Black Eyed Peas, Lady Antebellum, and Katy Perry. Whew. I’m already worn out, and yet there’s more…
Although “Thriller” is featured in the episode, it will not be a Michael Jackson tribute episode. Nor will it be a tribute to Bruce Springsteen, as rumors have suggested. In fact, our source says that the only pop star truly considered for the Super Bowl episode was Sir Elton John (expect a John tribute episode as part of Glee‘s back nine episodes).
The post-Super Bowl episode will instead keep with the evening’s sports theme and focus on the local football championship and Sue Sylvester’s cheerleading regionals (the “Thriller” mash-up will be played during halftime of the onscreen pigskin game). Basically, it will be a classic episode of Glee, but just bigger and better; Gleeks can also expect appearances from season two fan favorites: Blaine (Darren Criss) and Coach Beiste (Dot-Marie Jones). Oh, and General Motors is co-sponsoring the episode, which likely means there will be limited commercial interruptions.
Have you wet yourselves with excitement yet, Gleeks? What do you think of this news?
Production on the Glee Super Bowl episode begins tomorrow! Predictably, there will be a big focus on the football team in this ep, directed by Brad Falchuk himself. Look for at least two new jock characters: a tall good-looking football player named Strando, who might become a recurring character, and another athlete named Scott Cooper, who will be following in Puck and Karofsky's footsteps as the show's resident numbskull jock. Producers are also looking for BMX bike tricksters, fire-breathers and jugglers to shoot next week—sounds like they're planning a hell of a McKinley High halftime show. Do we get to vote who gets the wardrobe malfunction?

Fox's 'Glee' courting Katie Couric for Super Bowl Episode By MICHAEL AUSIELLO, TV Columnist | Tuesday November 23, 2010 @ 5:00pm PST
EXCLUSIVE: Being a high-profile Glee fan has its perks. The Fox phenom is in talks with CBS Evening News anchor (and self-proclaimed Gleek) Katie Couric to make a cameo in the show's post-Super Bowl episode on Feb. 6. A Fox source declined to comment, but an insider tells me that Couric would play herself in a scene with Emmy winner Jane Lynch. A portion of the episode revolves around Lynch's Sue attending the regional cheerleading championships with her Cheerios squad.

Courtesy of Columbia The ‘Glee‘ crew has been working hard all year to get back to Sectionals, and now New Directions are ready to take on their competition in Season 2, Episode 9 ‘Special Education.’
However, they’ll be doing it without their beloved Kurt, who transferred to Dalton Academy in last week’s episode, ‘Furt.’ He’s a Warbler now, and will be backing up Blaine (Darren Criss) on the Train hit ‘Hey, Soul Sister.’
Still, Kurt and Rachel will have their supreme diva moment when the two perform ‘Don’t Cry For Me Argentina’ from the musical production ‘Evita.’ Did you really think Kurt could just walk away in silence?
New Directions will also have some stiff competition from a senior singing group called The Hipsters, who will perform Mike and the Mechanics‘ song ‘The Living Years.’
But, when Rachel finds out that Finn lost his virginity to Santana, she becomes emotionally distraught, giving Quinn and Sam the chance to prove that nobody puts baby (mamas) in the corner. The two will perform ‘(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life,’ originally recorded by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes, and featured in the 1987 film ‘Dirty Dancing.’
The episode also features a rousing New Directions cover of Florence and the Machine‘s indie smash ‘Dog Days Are Over,’ and allows Santana the chance to shine with her rendition of The Zutons‘ ‘Valerie.’
Check out the Season 2, Episode 9 ‘Special Education’ song list below, and head over to AOL Radio’s ‘Glee’ Radio to hear songs from past episodes.
‘Special Education’ Songs List:
1. Kurt and Rachel, ‘Don’t Cry For Me Argentina’ (from ‘Evita’) 2. The Hipsters, ‘The Living Years’ (Mike and the Mechanics) 3. Blaine and the Dalton Academy Warblers, ‘Hey, Soul Sister’ (Train) 4. Sam and Quinn, ‘(I’ve Had) The Time of my Life’ (Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes) 5. Santana, ‘Valerie’ (The Zutons) 6. New Directions, ‘Dog Days Are Over’ (Florence and the Machine)
для тех, кому не терпится узнать побольше и пораньше кто-тоне любит спойлеры, считает, что они ослабляют эффект от просмотра... некоторые спойлеры безобидны, например этот:
It's a Glee-ful Christmas for Fox's hit musical-comedy series, but not for the school staff whose Secret Santa is soured by Jane Lynch's Grinchy Sue Sylvester.
In the holiday episode airing Dec. 7 (8 ET/PT), the cheerleading coach manages to replace all of their names with hers. "I was everybody's Secret Santa, and I got all the presents," Lynch teases. But when the students give them away to poor children, Sue dons "green camo makeup" in a nod to Dr. Seuss' classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas, only to "steal it back and revel in my treasures," she says.
Cheerio Becky (Lauren Potter) is dressed up like the Grinch's reindeer/dog Max, and Brittany (Heather Morris) "looks an awful lot like Cindy Lou Who," the child who still believes in Santa, Lynch says. (The Seuss estate licensed rights to the characters but didn't allow their use in publicity photos.)
Finn (Cory Monteith) brings some Christmas cheer (a tree) to McKinley High, while the soundtrack features a duet with k.d. lang and Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) for the classic song You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch. It's part of a 12-song Glee Christmas album, released Nov. 16, that's No. 8 on Billboard's top album chart.
The episode marks Glee's last original until a post-Super Bowl outing on Feb. 6, in which Emmy-winning Lynch promises a Sue "temper tantrum the likes of which you've never seen on Glee."
Glee’s Coach Beiste is beefing up her team ahead of the Feb. 6 Super Bowl episode. Sources confirm to me exclusively that relative newcomer Kody Batchelor will guest-star in the gridiron-themed episode as Strando, a potentially recurring new football player at McKinley High.
The initial casting breakdown called for actors who were both extremely funny and “as wide as they are tall.” You might remember Batchelor from his recent guest appearance on the Halloween episode of The Middle — do you think he’ll fit the bill?
You fans are all writing in to ask: Is there any hope for Will (Matthew Morrison) and Emma (Jayma Mays)? And how long is awesome-sauce John Stamos sticking around? Here's the scoop I have for you:
According to multiple sources, John will be shooting at least four more episodes of Glee this season. That could turn into an even longer stay, depending on how fans respond to the upcoming love-triangle story.
As we saw last night, John's character Carl whisked Emma away to Las Vegas and married her. (Stamos, you sly little fox!) And I'm told that we'll see the "ramifications" of that quickie marriage in the upcoming (2011) episodes.
The good news for you die-hard fans of Will and Emma? I stand by what I told you in this week's Spoiler Chat, that there is "Wemma" goodness on the way. Although Carl and Emma will continue to grow closer for a while, her uncertain look over his shoulder last night was not for nothin'. I'm told the current end game is still Will and Emma—it just might take a while to get there. So don't give up hope just yet.
What did you think of last night's Glee and the news that Stamos is sticking around?
Looks like the director for episode 12 is really Tate Donovan (from The OC, Damages) and Warblers will be performing Destiny's Child:
tellyleung Star-struck. Tate Donovan (from #Damages) is directing this episode of #GLEE.
SamGarfield Tate Donavan from the OC is directing today.. & he's soo into it. Haha
BrockStarbaker Learning 2 NEW JAMS for GLEE!!! Filming in the morning - evening!! youre gonna be seein a LOT more of the WARBLERS!!! KEEP supporting!!!

Speculation for Upcoming Episode
This is for the Superbowl episode.
Apparently Quinn quits Glee Club for The Cheerios. Finn gets mad, yells at her. Finn and Sam fight because he says Finn is yelling at her like she’s his girlfriend, and then Schue pulls them apart.
End of episode Quinn quits Cheerios for good, apparently wearing a ridiculous outfit only she’d look cute in, and she gives Finn a lingering kiss on the lips.

Jane Lynch Reveals Katie Couric’s ‘Glee’ Song FIRST PUBLISHED: December 6, 2010 10:52 AM EST
Katie Couric will be showing off her dancing skills when she comes to “Glee.”
Access Hollywood caught up series star Jane Lynch at the Trevor LIVE benefit in Los Angeles on Sunday, where she dished details on the “CBS Evening News” anchor’s upcoming cameo.
“I haven’t shot with her yet, but yeah, she’s going to be in our Super Bowl episode,” Jane revealed to Access.
“She’s also doing a dance with [Matthew Morrison]. She’ll be doing ‘Tea for Two,’” Jane continued, referring to the jazz standard from the 1925 musical “No, No, Nanette,” which Doris Day also sang on the big screen in “Tea for Two.”
Adding, “She’s a Gleek! She has been since the beginning.”
Katie’s post-Super Bowl “Glee” episode will air on February 6.
