Quote (indie-girl)
Meanwhile, inspired by their Broadway experience, Kurt and Rachel set their sights on colleges… only to discover they aren’t as uniquely talented as they had always assumed.
WHETHER YOU'RE GAY, STRAIGHT, PURPLE, ORANGE, DINOSAUR, . . . I DON'T CARE!

WHETHER YOU'RE GAY, STRAIGHT, PURPLE, ORANGE, DINOSAUR, . . . I DON'T CARE!
spoilers from someone claiming to have seen a rough copy of 3x01
They are quite general ‘spoilers’ but as always take with a grain of salt.
****
- very old school Brittany/Santana and Brittany/Santana/Sue interactions. Felt like season one again.
- cute teacher/teacher interactions.
- Quinn is very interesting this episode. I felt for her and cared a lot even though she left me cold last season.
- Faberry fans will love a certain scene.
- Klaine fans will be satisfied. Blaine fans especially.
- a scene in the cafeteria starts seriously and ends hilariously. Genuine laughter.
- generally a good job on focusing on the many cast members. Tina, Mike, and Mercedes all have their moments.
- a new girl is introduced. I don’t know what to think about her yet; she doesn’t have much screen time in this episode.
- overall it wasn’t “classic” Glee, but it wasn’t bad. It was just different.
- the cafeteria scene beings as something with good intentions for the Glee club, and, as high school goes, quickly devolves into chaos.
- Sugar is very, very briefly introduced. I cannot give you a solid “purpose” for her character yet, as she had hardly any screen time in 3x01.
- there is a humorous moment regarding Quinn’s summer activities that could be read in quite a few ways.
- Quinn’s changes are not directly related to Finn.
- Santana and Brittany are very confusing to me right now, I will admit. I do not understand why they are suddenly cheerleaders again. Everything I saw in 3x01 between the two of them could have taken place in 1x13 or so. It is very strange.
[Quinn] is utterly compelling to watch, and this is coming from someone who paid her very little attention last season. Dianna makes the absolute best of every second of screen time she is given.
She is not just being a bratty, rebellious teenager; there is a depressing reason why she’s acting this way. I’ve almost become a Quinn fan because of this episode alone.
- Rachel is not all about Finn in 3x01. She and Kurt continue their friendship and she has an emotional scene with Quinn later on in the episode.
- as soon as the episode finished it became clear to me that a few “spoilers” from this summer are not true at ALL, particularly ones involving new characters.
Quinn is not in the Glee Club at the start of the season, but she is very lost and very unhappy. Later on in the episode, Rachel confronts Quinn and tells her she doesn’t need to do this (I presume she means “act punk” or “rebel” but I didn’t capture every moment) and that Glee will always accept her no matter how she decides to dress or act.
It was reminiscent of their conversations in season one, and really hit home for me personally, even though I don’t “ship” them in a romantic way. It is a solid friendship moment that I hope brings forward a lot more.
[Brittana] have shifted back into the “front thirteen” touchy best friends mode. Their moments together and with Sue made me nostalgic for season one.
I would not say [the show] is darker, but rather a combination of old school Glee and new looking-toward-the-future Glee. I didn’t see any “pandering” which was certainly a positive.
The editing was really strange, though, and brought me out of the episode a couple of times, but I was warned about it so the full episode will most likely flow much better.
****
- there is no Sheila. For all intents and purposes, Quinn is “Sheila.”
- yes, you see Quinn smoking.
- Sam gets the Matt Rutherford treatment.
- there is no one “Glee club reacting to Quinn” shot, but they’ve obviously seen her and talk about her. Santana has the best line about it only being a matter of time before Quinn snapped.
- if this was your first episode of Glee, you wouldn’t know Brittana was a “thing.”
- Santana is NOT mean to Becky.
- the “A” story is a combination of the club’s recruiting attempts as well as a new way to support the LGBT community.
Question: Do you have any hints on what’s to come on the new season of Glee, especially for Santana and Brittany, separately or together? —Ghislaine Ausiello: The word around McKinley is that Brittany will make a serious run for class president. And in potentially related news, I hear there’s an intriguing/hilarious story behind this photo, and we’ll find out what it is in Episode 2.
Question: Beggars can’t be choosers, so I’ll take any Glee scoop you can spare. —Colin Ausiello: A new glee club provides fresh competish for New Directions — and this particular group is much closer to home.
-----------
Chris on the first episode back: "Great starter for the [new] season. Stuff in the first episode I was like, 'How are we going to do that?! How is that legal?!"
Jane on the new characters: "I will interact with Vanessa [Lengies]. She plays Sugar Manta. She's hilarious! I heard her recording today and saw her perform it. Ah-ooh. That's all I'm gonna say. Ah-ooh." Dante says of Vanessa: "There is a definite surprise twist to her character, but I don't want to spoil it. It's good."
Harry and Kevin on who will graduate: "I'm not gonna say [if Artie is a senior]" Kevin tells me. "That spoils the fun. You just gotta watch. You find out in the first episode who's all graduating and what not." And Harry says of his character Mike Chang: "I think he is a senior. I'm leaning toward that…We're definitely going to see the relationship of Mike Chang and Tina this year. And what's gonna happen as far as Mike graduating or not."
3x01 -- The Purple Piano Project -- Spoilers REMINDER: Take every spoilers with a grain of salt.
-Kurt and Rachel haven’t forgotten their plans from the “New York” episode. -Seniors include Finn, Rachel, Kurt, Santana, Mike, Mercedes, Karofsky, Puck, Blaine and Quinn. -Blaine doesn’t transfer right away. -The “I want my senior year to be magic” scene takes place on the first day of school. -Quinn’s summer flashback explains her new look. -Three slushie scenes were filmed. Victims include Finn (as seen in the latest promo), Rachel and Blaine. -Mercedes has a big solo in a group number. -A Klaine kiss was filmed, though I’m not sure what episode they’re using it for. I think it’s Purple Piano Project. -Tina and Mike have a cute scene. -Quinn and Rachel have the first heartfelt moment of the season.
WHETHER YOU'RE GAY, STRAIGHT, PURPLE, ORANGE, DINOSAUR, . . . I DON'T CARE!
3x02 -- I Am Unicorn -- Episode Description Much to his dismay, Will discovers that (thanks to a private donation) former Vocal Adrenaline coach Shelby Corcoran has been hired to direct a second show-choir group at McKinley; while both Will and Shelby seem good natured about their impending competition, several of the students are less than thrilled about her return to Lima. Brittany manages Kurt’s campaign for class President, but he worries that her strategy may be too one-dimensional; and auditions for the school’s production of West Side Story begin with Artie, Emma, and Coach Beiste serving as the trio of directors. Trying to mend fences, Shelby gives her biological daughter Rachel some sound career advice. Meanwhile, auditions for the male lead in the play heat up, threatening to drive a wedge between Kurt and Blaine.

WHETHER YOU'RE GAY, STRAIGHT, PURPLE, ORANGE, DINOSAUR, . . . I DON'T CARE!
Quote (wildflower)
WHETHER YOU'RE GAY, STRAIGHT, PURPLE, ORANGE, DINOSAUR, . . . I DON'T CARE!
Mike is under pressure to quit New Directions; Rachel and Mercedes face-off for the lead in the school play with unforeseen results; the campaign for class President gets a new candidate; and Will worries that Emma is embarrassed by him.
After Mike Chang scores an A- (otherwise known as an “Asian F”) on a chemistry test, his father orders him to drop out of New Directions to focus on academics; the edict forces the young performer to choose between pleasing his parents or staying true to his dreams. Following some encouragement from her new boyfriend (Shane), a confident Mercedes delivers a phenomenal audition for the part of “Maria”; forcing a head-to-head callback against previous favorite Rachel to determine who will get the prized role. Brittany enters the race for senior class President, and proves a formidable opponent. When a worried Will wonders why Emma has yet to introduce him to her parents, Coach Beiste encourages him to take the initiative.
As Mike struggles to choose his life-path, he gets surprising support from an unexpected source. Unable to reach an agreement on casting, the directors of the school play make a compromise they hope will please everyone; unfortunately their actions have the opposite result, forcing one member of Glee Club to make a shocking announcement.
Prepare to not get Zized when Glee returns this fall.
Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that Ashley Fink’s screen time will be drastically reduced following the Sept. 20 season premiere, which finds her recurring (and somewhat polarizing) character, Lauren Zizes, abruptly [MAJOR SPOILER ALERT] quitting New Directions and breaking up with her steady beau Puck (Mark Salling), who spent much of Season 2 wooing the demanding, plus-sized tough girl.
The news comes a week after Fox released the show’s official Season 3 gallery pics, which featured practically every major cast member — including recurring performers Dot Marie Jones and Lauren Potter — but not Fink.
Lauren’s sudden estrangement from the New Directions crew marks a dramatic turnaround from Season 2, where her character was frequently front and center — fist-fighting with Santana, briefly serving as a manager to Mercedes, and even scoring a solo on “I Know What Boys Like.” In fact, Fink often had more screen time than established series regulars like Amber Riley.
