Heather: How about something good on Glee? Finn and Rachel, Will and Emma or the Super Bowl episode? The Biebs? I'll take anything! Well the best news for all you who were panicked by the Justin Bieber episode (and still haven't heard) is that it's not happening, at least not now. Also good news: I'm still told that Finn and Rachel and Will and Emma are the endgame. You just, um, might not be super-duper-over-the-moon happy for the time being. "We can't make it easy!" a well-placed source who works on the show tells me, adding that the fans would get "bored." Agree? As for the Super Bowl episode, I just caught up with Amber Riley, who says it's "really big. They pulled out all the stops for it. There's going to be some kind of like maybe some circus acts going on. We're doing ‘Thriller.' We're doing a little bit of an homage to Michael Jackson, so we're doing a little bit of ‘Thriller,' and it's really good. We've got some zombie makeup, and it's gonna be a big one." Check out this sneak-peek photo for proof that your favorite Gleeks don't look so bad undead!
@BeyondStarlight (via Twitter): Glee? Looks like we might be getting a flashback to Rachel Berry's coming of age; producers are casting for a clutch of 12- to 14-year-old Jewish girls to appear in a bat mitzvah scene.
This special episode will focus on the local football championships and the cheerleading regionals. Sue will throw a hissy fit and try to destroy the locker room and the principal's office. Katie Couric will appear in a scene with Sue, and Cory Monteith recently revealed that Artie (portrayed by Kevin McHale) will be doing a lot of the singing.
It's a great idea to have the post-Super Bowl episode focus on the local football championships as it may help keep some of the game's viewers tuned in. In order to do so, Fox will need to properly advertise the fact that 'Glee' will focus on football in the weeks to come and during the Super Bowl (adding a glimpse of the "Thriller" tribute might help, too).
You can bet that a Sue hissy fit during such a special episode will be a super entertaining. If Sue does try to destroy the locker room as the spoilers say, it'll probably be because the regionals aren't going her way.
The fact that Katie Couric will guest star is odd. It's unknown how she'll fit in but it smells of stunt casting that will end up in not helping the episode much. What's your take on this casting? Share your two cents in the comments section below.
Artie! Artie! Artie! You have to admit that he is becoming a fan favorite! It will be interesting to see why Artie ends up doing most of the singing. Will it have to do with football, glee club, romance?
Vocal Adrenaline, including Charice reprising her role of Sunshine, will perform the Black Eyed Peas' hit 'Meet Me Halfway.' Dalton Academy Warblers will sing Destiny's Child's 'Bills Bills Bills.' Some of the other songs performed in this special episode will include tunes by Lady Antebellum and Katy Perry.
It feels like years since we last heard Vocal Adrenaline perform, no? It's a nice idea to bring them back to offer some competition to New Directions, and it will allow us to get an update on some of the Adrenaline members such as Sunshine and maybe even Jesse. Will all glee clubs, including the Warblers, be performing the half-time show during the local championships or will they somehow be involved in the cheerleading regionals?
But the musical performance fans are mostly looking forward to is the mash-up of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller,' with a yet-to-be-announced song. Finn, who will be one of the zombies in the tribute, will provide the spooky narration at the beginning of 'Thriller.'
'Thriller' is such an epic song ... which other song could possibly be "strong" enough to be mashed up with it? Well, the season 2 song list on Wikipedia claims that 'Thriller' will be mashed-up with 'Heads Will Roll' and that Finn, New Directions and the William McKinley High football team will take part in this unique performance. This sounds like an interesting pairing since 'Heads Will Roll' does have a spooky and mysterious feel to it but we still say 'Thriller' should have been performed as is and not be mashed with another song.
Question: Can you give me anything on Puck and Quinn on Glee? —Karen
Ausiello: It appears the Mohawked One has moved on. For one, Mark Salling told us, “It might be a while” before “Quick” fans are thrown any kind of bone. Secondly, I hear Puck’s interest in Lauren (the awesome Ashley Fink) will evolve into a full-blown romance before the season is over. BTW, If Fink isn’t a series regular by this time next season I’ll write a rave review of One Tree Hill. Triple pinky swear.
Lynch also revealed that Sue will perform with New Directions in a future episode, saying: "In the Justin Bieber one, if you will, she actually sings a song with the glee club. I can't say the song. I don't know it yet. I never heard it and I have to learn it."
Viva la vida will also be featured in a future episode, but not the band itself.
“Glee” Super Bowl Episode Short Synopsis and Spoilers
Synopsis: Coach Bieste and Mr. Schuester plot to bring the warring glee club and football team together; Sue desperately tries to win cheerleading Nationals; New Directions tackle Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”.
Extra Spoiler: “My star Cheerios leave me for the Glee club,” Jane Lynch says to TV Guide. “I make them choose: You either come with me and do this routine, or stay here and do the half-time routine with the glee club. They choose the glee club, so I don’t have a team and I have to forfeit Nationals. That’s why Katie Couric has to interview me as the year’s biggest loser”.
Fox’s Glee took home three Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, but the show’s fans are the big winners, because that means the producers and cast were on hand to share lots of scoop about what’s ahead this winter and spring. On tap for coming episodes: surprise smooching, dueling divas, Sir Paul, Miss Hathaway and so much more!
* Amber Riley told TVLine’s Michael Ausiello on the red carpet that she and Lea Michele will be singing “Take Me or Leave Me,” from the Broadway musical Rent. “Sue tells Mercedes that Rachel was talking [smack] about her, so Mercedes says [to Rachel], ‘We’re having a diva-off once and for all, and we’re going to settle this,’” Amber previewed. Whose mad pipes emerge victorious? “I don’t know!” Amber answered with a laugh.
* Asked to tease Glee‘s next new episode — which airs the night of Sunday, February 6, after a little bit of TV programming called the Super Bowl — series cocreator Brad Falchuk revealed, “There’s a couple of unexpected kisses … and a huge Cheerios number which involves people with flaming whips and BMX bikers, which bother Sue Sylvester to no end.”
* At one of last night’s hottest after-party tickets, InStyle‘s jam-packed soiree, Mike O’Malley told TVLine that Kurt’s father will make an appearance in said Super Bowl episode.
* Anne Hathaway‘s dream to guest on Glee is all but a done deal. “I just ran into Anne, who has created her own role, and I said, ‘I think that’s great,’” series boss Ryan Murphy shared backstage. “So she’s going to come on.” In fact, not only does Hathaway have her character all picked out — she wants to play Kurt’s lesbian aunt — she has a song list in mind, too!
* Speaking of movie stars, we spied the Glee cast stumble into a squee-filled mutual admiration session with Amy Adams. Could the Enchanted beauty be next to pay the show a visit?
* Jayma Mays confirmed that with Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow returning for multiple episodes as Holly Holliday — who this time around will score a date with Will — Emma will exhibit more than a bit of the green-eyed monster. With a nod to Paltrow’s triple-threat skills, Jayma shrugged, “Can you blame her?”
* A member of the Fab Four will make his presence known as Glee dips into Paul McCartney‘s catalog. “In the first six episodes, we have done two Paul songs, because we love him,” Murphy said. In fact, the Valentine’s Day episode airing February 15 is titled “Silly Love Songs,” with the titular track covered by Darren Criss‘ Blaine.
* Speaking of the Valentine’s outing: Though the day is meant for lovers, Lea Michele told TVLine’s Megan Masters that for Rachel, the episode “is mainly about being single.” But don’t be sad for Ms. Berry. Of her character’s current lovelorn status, Lea said, “I’m enjoying it!”
On a night where many (most?!) predicted a Modern Family win, Ryan Murphy/Ian Brenna/Brad Falchuk‘s fan-favorite Fox series took home the big bazooka of a Golden Globe: Best Comedy (on top of supporting-acting wins for Jane Lynch and—bazinga alert!—Chris Colfer, who beat out Eric Stonestreet).
Kick-ass surprise? Outrage? Sign of the apocalypse? While you consider that weighty Q (and before we dart out to the after parties), here’s our rapid-fire roundup of scoop we’ve gotten so far tonight from Glee‘s Lea Michele and Jayma Mays…
Lea Michele on Finn and Rachel: “We’re broken up. I’m devastated.” And coming up ahead? “She’s definitely single right now.” Lea says that despite her earlier tease to me that something big happens between Finn and Rachel during the Valentine’s episode, “Finn and Rachel are broken up for the Valentine’s Day episode.” Hmmm! The silver lining? For you hoping for some legitimate friendship storylines for Rachel, Lea teases “[Rachel's] trying to enjoy the single life. Kurt and Mercedes are helping her get through it.”
Jayma Mays on the Will/Emma/Carl Love Triangle: “Emma’s married now and she’s starting to get a little better. With her OCD and her germaphobic issues she’s doing a little bit better. She’s loosening up. She met the dentist Dr. Carl and he’s spicing her life up a little bit and she’s willing to get a little messy.” When asked if fans should shelve their hope for Will and Emma for the time being, Jayma says: “I think that they probably should. I love that the hope is still there. Let’s keep the hope [for an eventual reunion] but for now, let’s let her get some John Stamos and get rid of tooth decay.”
Jenna Ushkowitz on Artie/Tina/Mike: “I don’t want to give too much away but Tina gets to sing and it’s for Mike. Tina and Mike have actually gotten to live out a relationship so I’m really happy about that and you’ll see some loners couple up.”
The Glee Romance Scoop You Really Need to Know: Cory Monteith is single in real life, ladies! He said it with his own lips, and asked if we could help him out by finding him a few potential dates. Anyone game?
Spoilers from Ausiello! О Сью, Курте, Курте и Блейне
Question: Got any Glee spoilers — specifically Kurt/Blaine-related? —Ami
Ausiello: It’s time for Blaine to meet the parent! Mike O’Malley told me at the Golden Globes that there’s a big episode coming up where Burt is introduced to Blaine for the first time. “It’s a great story,” he said. “I just got the script.”
Question: When, when, when will Glee‘s Kurt return to McKinley High?! I love Blaine, but need Kurt back with New Directions! —Diane
Ausiello: Chris Colfer’s on and off-screen BFF Amber Riley (Mercedes) feels your pain. “I want him to come back so bad,” she tells me. “I miss him.” Although she’s sad for herself, Riley admits the “storyline Chris is having at the other school is amazing. And I love the Warblers. I’m a big fan of their music. Maybe I should transfer over there? Mercedes could shave her head and pretend to be a boy.” Maybe save that for Season 7.
Question: Any exciting news about my favorite Glee character, Sue? —Richard
Ausiello: Her upcoming stint as a member of New Directions will be a brief one — and it sounds like that’s good news for Jane Lynch. “[Jane]‘s a little bored because the choir room scenes are always the hardest and require the longest hours,” her onscreen archenemy, Matthew Morrison, says with a chuckle. “So she’s getting a taste of what it’s like to be in the glee club and have the long hours.” Amber Riley says it’s been a rare treat working opposite her idol. “I never get to do a lot of scenes with Jane so it’s been amazing,” she gushes. “I’m still a big fan of hers. I still get nervous around her and I’ve been working with her for almost two years. To be able to have her in the choir room has been great.”
[SPOILER] will return to 'Glee' by year's end MANILA, Philippines — Fans who have been waiting for the return of Charice's character, Sunshine Corazon, on "Glee" will have to hold their breaths longer.
After Charice’s revelation during the “1 @ 11” concert last Jan. 8 that she's slated to appear on “Glee” for at least five more episodes, the hit TV show’s creator Ryan Murphy confirmed so — and that these will be aired at the end of the year.
“She’s coming back in a big way. We’re finishing the year with her. She’s coming back for five episodes at the end of the year.
She’s gonna be great. Lots of big, big ballads for Charice,” Murphy told ABS-CBN News in an interview aired on “TV Patrol” last Jan. 21.
This is contrary to earlier reports that have placed Charice's return on the show right after Super Bowl XLV on Feb. 6. It was also rumored that Charice would be performing the Black Eyed Peas’ hit “Meet Me Halfway” together with New Directions’ rival, Vocal Adrenaline.
“Glee” star Kevin McHale, who plays the role of wheelchair-bound Artie, expressed his anticipation to work with Charice anew.
“Charice is awesome, we love her. We can’t wait till she comes back,” said he.
The forthcoming post-Superbowl episode titled “Thriller” will mark the show’s return to TV from its winter break. Said to be the most expensive post-Super Bowl episode ever, it will feature the already much-talked about mash-up of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s “Heads Will Roll.”
Aside from the “Thriller/Heads Will Roll” mash-up and “Meet Me Halfway,” other songs that are reported to be featured on the episode are Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now,” Katy Perry’s “California Gurls,” and Destiny’s Child’s “Bills, Bills, Bills.”

There won't be a new episode of Glee until the much talked about post-Superbowl episode scheduled for February 6, but we're already looking ahead to a future episode of Glee.
TVOvermind has learned that the show is currently looking for actors/actresses to play cowboys and cowgirls for a big scene taking place in a country bar. The episode will begin shooting on January 25 and the shoot for the scene is expected to last an entire day.
Glee has featured a few country songs in the past, particularly when Broadway actress Kristen Chenoweth has made her guest appearances, but there's only been one big cast country performance: when Chenoweth performed Carrie Underwood's "Last Name" with the glee kids.
There's no word yet on which song the group will perform, but it'll be nice to see the group do a big performance in a country bar. We know that Chenoweth is scheduled to appear in another episode in the second half of season 2, so it'll be interesting to see if this country bar scene will appear in her episode, since she does like to bring the country music to Glee.
о Бриттане, о ХоллиХолидэй
blacksoulgleek (via Twitter): Did you see @bfalchuk tweet about Brittana? Do you know something about this? He said Gwyneth will get them together… Yes! For you who missed it, Glee executive producer Brad Falchuk tweeted: “Brittana is on. Brittana was always on. Episode 15—and Gwyneth is the one who gets them together…” Just when I thought Gwyneth P.’s Holly Holliday character couldn’t be dipped in any more magic. As I mentioned several weeks ago, Brittany and Santana are going to have “developments,” and the storyline in no way has been dropped. In other news only amusing to me, I got a call from fellow E! News fellow correspondent Jason Kennedy last week asking me how I got away with saying “ball check” on the show…when I was saying the aforementioned producer’s last name. Ha!
о "Супер Кубке"
Karina: I am so excited for the Glee Super Bowl episode I can barely stand it! Is it gonna be as awesome as I think? According to Darren Criss…yes, and then some! “It is just one gagillion thousand jiggawatts of pure awesome entertainment and 100 miles an hour. If it doesn’t pique your interest I don’t know what’s going to,” he says to us. “The first 10 minutes are just crazy extravaganza of bells and whistles and explosions and stuff so it’s almost going to be a halftime show, except a whole episode. A lot of cool numbers, and it’s going to be a lot of fun.” Reserve your seat on the couch now!
о Дианне
Heather11 (via Twitter): Please anything on Dianna Agron on Glee! I’m devastated over the news that Quinn and Sam will break up. You and me both, sister! But from what I understand, there is still hope for a rekindling. In other D.A. news, I’m sort of dying that there were no paparrazzi pics of her at the airport after shooting the Super Bowl ep, cause Dianna herself tells us: ” I had to go straight from set at about six-thirty in the morning to the airport to fly to New York for some work, and I didn’t have time if I was going to make the plane to take down my hair and my make up…If you watch the episode, you see I have this Victorian crazy hair with bows and flowers and things like that and I was running through the airport and I got stopped by security because I had too many bobby pins in my hair! I almost missed my flight!”
о Курте и Блейне
Elle in Florida: Any scoop on Kurt and Blaine? #kurtblaineKISSalready Just that Kurt’s situation with Karofsky—you know, the bully who pushed him to transfer to the loving arms of Blaine over at Dalton—isn’t over yet. Says Max Adler, who plays Karofsky, “I don’t know that Dave knows that Blaine and Kurt have a little somethin’-somethin’ going on, but obviously he knows [Kurt's] not at [McKinley High] anymore, and that will be brought up in the Super Bowl episode.”
Glee: The series will start to explore Santana (Naya Rivera) and Brittany's relationship on a deeper level. "A lot of my stuff is getting generally serious in a way," Heather Morris says. "We just got a new script. ... Santana and Brittany don't want to talk about it because they're in high school, but Brittany wants to talk about it because she has a boyfriend. Ryan Murphy really wanted to do that for the fans because all of the fans were like, 'Why did you have them make out and not do anything else?'" But don't expect more lip-locking anytime soon, Morris says.

February 8th – “Silly Love Songs” Love is in the air at McKinley High when the glee club sets up a kissing booth for Valentine’s Day. Things don’t go as planned, and hearts end up getting broken.
February 15th – “Comeback” Rachel (Lea Michele) tries to launch a comeback into the McKinley High social stratosphere with a little help from Brittany. Meanwhile, Sam starts a tribute band.
February 22nd – “Blame it on the Alcohol” Principal Figgins teaches the student body about the danger of underage drinking, and the glee club is personally touched by the message. Meanwhile, Mr. Schuester and Coach Beiste indulge in a little fun of their own.
Question: Any Glee scoop involving Rachel’s love life? —Alyson Ausiello: An unconfirmed rumor suggests that Lea Michele’s suddenly single alter ego will be getting some action soon. The twist? It won’t be with Finn or Puck.
- Heather, Jenna, Naya in shorts. Rest of girls in jeans. Outfits are bizarre (person’s opinion). Combat boots/cowboy boots (red/lea black/dianna).
- Brittany is supposed to be drunk and gets sicker as the song goes on, at the end she throws up on Rachel, then Rachel throws up on her.
- Santana runs off the stage, they all throw up.
- HeMo fans: Brittany is singing Tik Tok, it’s her song. She also has some awesome dancing in really short shorts and does the splits at one point. Prepare to drool, ‘cause hello legs.
- Throw up scenes haven’t been filmed yet, they just shot the song a few times and went through the motions.
** I don’t know if it’s in this ep or another, but there’s apparently a Lauren/Puck sex tape. I think that might be in the episode titled “Sexy” which they’ve started filming this week (Sex tape stuff: This was something overheard since they just started filming that ep this week. It was not a part of any filming today so my source could be wrong on that, but I put it in there because other people were talking about it there as if it already happened or is planned to happen. Everything else did happen/is still happening) .
Rumor has it Glee will actually move production to NYC to film nationals. Just in case anyone was wondering, and if anyone wants to call up their local casting agency lol.
